Inspiring co-operative enterprise through education

CETS has recently completed a Knowledge Transfer Partnership to promote understanding of co-operative, mutual and employee-owned models of enterprise in higher education. The innovative partnership with the University of Aberdeen developed a suite of resources for use in undergraduate and postgraduate courses across Scotland's higher education institutions.

The ongoing work of the project focuses on promoting teaching about co-operatives in higher education. There are numerous examples of courses/modules that include teaching about co-operatives as part of their offering and the topic areas are diverse:

  • business studies
  • human resources
  • accounting
  • social policy
  • management and governance
  • sustainability

This section contains details of teaching materials where CETS has developed lectures for specific modules. It will be updated periodically as we deliver further teaching sessions. If you are interested in developing/delivering materials on alternative models of enterprise then please contact us.
